Job Title: Family School Liaison Counsellor

Job Summary:

The Livingstone Range School Division is seeking a part-time Family School Liaison Counsellor to join our team at Stavely School. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in supporting students, families, and staff in achieving academic success and promoting a positive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling services to students, focusing on academic, social, and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and community agencies to develop and implement support plans for students
  • Conduct crisis response activities and provide support to students and families in times of need
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to enhance support services for students and families
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in counselling and education

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline
  • Training and experience in counselling services for children and youth
  • Experience in providing crisis response activities and working with families and community agencies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of educational systems and policies
  • Membership with the Alberta College of Social Workers or College of Alberta Psychologists is considered an asset
