Claresholm, Canada Claresholm Child Care Society Full time

The Claresholm Child Care Society is looking to fill a Part-time position within the Kidz Zone OSC.

This position will be working with our School Age children at the Kidz Zone Out of School Care Program.

The shift for this position will be a combination of Split shifts, as well as full days throughout the month when the children have no school. Split shifts would be mornings until school time, and afternoons from 2:30/3-5:30pm. There may be opportunity for longer day shifts as well if covering for another staff member.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Extremely Dependable and wanting to work long term.
- Flexible with scheduling - Must be willing to work split shifts
- Enthusiastic
- Has a passion for the child care field
- Motivated to learn
- Works well in a small team atmosphere, and can work just as easily independently
- Calm, patient and enjoys working with large groups of children.
- Takes direction easily and picks up on routines quickly

Primary Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Support classroom teachers with their plans; which will be age and developmentally appropriate programming for the children in the classroom, focusing on their Physical, Social, Intellectual, Creative and Emotional needs.
- Help plan and implement programming for the children based on their age, developmental abilities, as well as interests.
- Can take on the responsibility of all policies and procedures of the program and implement them when the director is away.
- Clean classrooms at the end of shift.
- Maintain daily open communication with parents regarding their child.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the Program, Families, and Staff.
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment where the children can grown and learn.
- Complete yearly Professional Development through attending conferences, college classes, in-house workshops
- Keep records of classroom attendance and personal staff timesheets.
- Know and follow all applicable licensing regulations

Qualifications:

- Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- First Aid certification

This position is required to start as soon as possible.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
