We are seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist to join our team at Pladec Day Care Centre

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Early Childhood Education, with a focus on child development and care. Our Early Childhood Program Coordinator will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

  • This includes creating and leading activities that foster a love of learning, such as storytelling, crafts, and educational games.
  • The Early Childhood Program Coordinator will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care and education.
  • A strong understanding of licensing regulations and knowledge of child development principles are essential for this role.

As a key member of our team, the Early Childhood Program Coordinator will work closely with colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment for both children and staff. Please note that only qualified candidates who are members of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment with Pladec Day Care Centre's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • 2 years of experience working with children.
