Job Overview

This role is responsible for providing physiotherapy consultation, assessment, and interventions for various client groups across Southern Ontario and the Capital region.

You will work within a quality improvement framework that reflects our vision and mission of services.

To promote good public relations with clients, customers, and our team, volunteers, and associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients using interviews, standardized, and informal techniques in accordance with professional practice guidelines and standards.
  • Implement client interventions based on assessment information, client input, and integrated care plans.
  • Evaluate services provided through outcome measures, ensuring best practices, evidence-based care, and documentation.
  • Attend meetings to report on assessment findings and discuss intervention plans, progress reports, and discharges as required.
  • Ensure coordinated care delivery through ongoing communication with the client's team regarding plans and schedules.
  • Document all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries as needed.
  • Prepare records of client care and related activities as required by VHA, the Ministry of Health, and other agencies.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate or Masters degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized school.
  • Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably in the community.
  • Specialized courses supporting areas of clinical expertise.
  • Clinical expertise to provide various physiotherapy interventions.
  • Familiarity with community care requirements and resources available.
  • Excellent consultation and teaching skills, utilizing an evidence base to clinical practice.
