About the Role
This part-time or full-time position involves assessing and treating clients with various physical conditions, including orthopedic issues and pain management. You will work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that include exercise programs, manual therapy, and education on mobility aids and assistive devices.
Responsibilities
- Assessing clients' physical condition and developing comprehensive treatment plans
- Providing one-on-one physiotherapy sessions to clients in long-term care, retirement home, and assisted living settings
- Overseeing Physiotherapy Support Personnel (PTA)
- Prescribing and educating clients on the use of mobility aids, assistive devices, and other equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy
- Registration with College of Physiotherapy of Ontario
- Experience working with geriatric populations and chronic diseases
- CPR certification
- Strong physical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care
- Bilingual (French and English)
