Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at Sechelt Hospital. As a Nurse Specialist, you will provide emergency nursing care to clients of all ages and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to clients of all ages, including critically ill patients and those in post-anaesthetic recovery.
- Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
- Develop and implement plans of care in relation to client priorities.
- Assess client responses to care and respond appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
About Sechelt Hospital
Sechelt Hospital is a 46-bed acute care facility that serves over 30,000 residents of the Lower Sunshine Coast. We provide a range of services, including emergency care, renal program, mental health and substance use services, surgical services, and imaging services.
Qualifications
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) is required.
- Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing or two (2) years' recent, related experience.
