About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist will serve as the main HR contact for employees, addressing concerns and offering guidance on policies and best practices. This individual will maintain and update the employee handbook, policies, and organizational charts, leading and organizing training and development programs. They will oversee the performance management process, including annual reviews and feedback, support the progressive discipline process, and assist with workplace investigations when needed.

In addition, the successful candidate will manage health and safety initiatives, including participation in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and overseeing safety inspections. They will also assist with payroll processing and collaborate with the HR team on recruitment efforts.

Requirements

  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced, corporate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience with health and safety programs.
  • Solid understanding of workplace investigations and conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHRP designation.
  • Certification in JHSC Part 1 and 2.
  • Experience managing HR projects and working with applicant tracking systems.

  • A competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Estimated Salary: $72,500 - $82,500 per year
