About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Hardwood Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at MALWA FLOORING AND CARPET LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality flooring installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting on floors and walls
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
  • English language

Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular 35 to 40 hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
