We are currently recruiting for a Buyer/Logistics Coordinator position at a manufacturing company in the electric transport industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Issuing purchase orders and ensuring timely receipt of goods
  • Maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers to obtain optimal cooperation terms
  • Coordinating the transportation of goods in response to after-sales requests
  • Monitoring stock levels and availability to prevent shortages
  • Resolving disputes with carriers and suppliers, and implementing corrective actions
  • Analyzing purchasing and logistics data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization
  • Collaborating with the Quality department to manage non-conformity returns with suppliers

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A DEC or AEC in purchasing or procurement, or relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement in the manufacturing sector
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP systems, including MRP modules and inventory management
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 suite and Excel
  • Bilingualism (French and English) to communicate with English-speaking suppliers
  • Knowledge of supplier markets and logistics management techniques
  • Demonstrated autonomy and initiative, as well as negotiation and analytical skills
