Job Title: Stockroom Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stockroom Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire Squamish. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our stockroom, ensuring that all merchandise is accurately inventoried and stored.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign sales workers to duties and oversee the daily operations of the stockroom
• Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
• Authorize return of merchandise
• Establish work schedules
• Sell merchandise
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers

Work Environment: Our retail store is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work under pressure and handle heavy loads. You must be able to stand for extended periods and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements:

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or stockroom environment
• No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Reliability and flexibility
