Job Title: Youth Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Coordinator to join our team at the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote the well-being and empowerment of Aboriginal youth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs that promote the well-being and empowerment of Aboriginal youth
  • Conduct social research and assessments to identify the needs of Aboriginal youth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate events and activities that promote the well-being and empowerment of Aboriginal youth
  • Prepare reports and presentations to stakeholders and funders
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in youth development or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Aboriginal culture and community
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
