Job Title: Crossborder Trade Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Crossborder Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Trade Compliance Recruiting Solutions.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with trade regulations and laws, providing expert advice on customs and government-related inquiries, and managing the classification of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on trade compliance
  • Manage customs and government-related inquiries
  • Classify goods and ensure accurate tariff classification
  • Work with brokers and supply chain partners to ensure compliant movement of goods
  • Collaborate with end-users to ensure compliant clearance of goods
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements for US/CA trade compliance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trade compliance
  • Cross-border experience in US/CA required
  • Experience in determining classifications
  • Understanding of ACE/SWI (Canada)
  • Technical computer skills, including ERP experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • CCS or Broker's License highly preferred

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be based in the University of Toronto, Mississauga campus area and will be required to work on-site with flexible working hours.
