We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics and Commercial Operations Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a temporary fixed-term position, expected to commence in October 2024. As a Senior Logistics and Commercial Operations Specialist, you will work closely with the Supply Chain Planning (S&OP) and Commercial teams to provide cross-functional support in the execution of tasks related to S&OP, commercial, and marketing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide S&OP support (50%):
    • Assist with importation, communication, and documentation;
    • Daily monitoring with carriers for container deliveries to/from central distribution locations;
    • Assist with customs clearance processes;
    • Place purchase orders with suppliers (for less complex suppliers);
    • Provide vacation backfill support for the Planning and International Logistics Coordinator.
  • Offer Commercial Support (25%):
    • Perform clerical duties as required;
    • Assist with project-based reconciliation reports and audits;
    • Support modifications and setup specific account modifications (MDM);
    • Be responsible for customer price list updates and maintenance;
    • Assist with TPR setup for foodservice customers; assist with customer-specific payments (agreements reconciliation);
    • Prepare ad-hoc reporting for Business Development managers.
  • Pursue Marketing Support (25%):
    • Create codes;
    • Assist with SKU RAT processes;
    • Complete marketing platform updates (SQF, GS1, Coupa, Cheese Guide);
    • Manage samples; update portfolio communications;
    • Ad-hoc supplier reporting (quarterly reports, etc).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, logistics, or a relevant field (an asset);
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role;
  • Relevant experience in the food or consumer products industry (an asset);
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered;
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written (French and English), to communicate with teams in Canada and the US;
  • Proficiency in common software Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, OBIEE, and SharePoint software would be assets.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience. Additional benefits include flexibility for remote work (50%), a 12-month contract, an employee assistance program, opportunities for personal investment (career development, etc.), and a range of amenities in our offices.
