Job Description

The Lethbridge Youth Treatment Centre seeks a skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide comprehensive mental health and addiction services to youth in a live-in treatment program.

  • Lead service provider for youth, responsible for assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery.
  • Create individualized service plans and deliver counseling to support recovery journeys.
  • Collaborate with families and support systems to develop relapse prevention plans.

This role requires evening and weekend work to support the needs of accessing families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-informed crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment using various modalities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy.
  • Active or eligible registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
  • First Aid certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.
  • Possession of outdoor, watersport, or climbing certification is an asset.
  • One year experience providing care to youth in a bed-based setting and one year experience working with individuals with addictions.
