**POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
***1) Agency**:

- All employees must act in a professional manner when representing the YWCA Lethbridge & District.
- All employees must promote a favorable community profile, acting as a liaison with The Crown and Legal professionals in the community.
- All employees of the YWCA Lethbridge & District are required to work cooperatively with volunteers at various levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned that may or may not be directly related to their current position of employment

**2) Program Specific**:

- Ensure adherence to program Policies and Procedures for the Safe Visitation program.
- Conduct intakes for Custodial and Visiting Parents.
- Create a monthly schedule for visits.
- Monitor visits in accordance with best practices and program policies.
- Manages all volunteer contacts, schedules, and tracking documentation.
- Maintain accurate, professional documentation of scheduled visits.
- Maintain statistical recording of program services for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to provincial standards.
- Collaborate on updating, streamlining, and editing of service documentation or processes.
- Assist in research for program enhancements, service delivery and collateral support.
- Plan and facilitate the Books Build Better Brains event each year in September.
- Assist clients with questions regarding legal documents and refer to appropriate agencies for further assistance.
- Attend court events as directed.
- Create an inviting atmosphere for families in the Child Care Center by planning activities that meet the needs and interests of those attending the visits.
- Maintain a safe environment in the Child Care Center, regularly sterilizing toys and equipment as well as inspecting the area for any safety hazards.
- Maintain a community bulletin board for visiting parents, advising them of community resources.

**Experience**: Preferred
- Strong knowledge of Social Service Community Agencies and protocols. Strong knowledge of domestic violence. Knowledge of family violence dynamics, addictions, mental health issues and victimology. Knowledge of crisis intervention dynamics and interventions. Knowledge of the Harm Reduction Model Knowledge of the Housing First Philosophy Understanding of Trauma informed and person-centered care Understanding divorce, separation and child welfare issues. Understanding of child development.

**Education**: Preferred
- College Diploma or better in Child and Youth Care or related field
- Bachelor's degree or better in Human Services

**Licenses & Certifications**: Preferred
- Suicide Prevention Cert
- First Aid and CPR Level-C
