We are seeking a highly skilled Rotor Wing Structures Specialist to join our team at Heli-One, a global leader in rotor wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). This role is based in our Petawawa location and offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to make a real difference in the aviation industry.

At Heli-One, we have decades of expertise supporting a wide range of helicopters. Our global support network includes base maintenance; line maintenance; component and engine repair and overhaul; and Engineering and Design within our international facilities in Vancouver, Canada; Stavanger, Norway; and Rzeszow, Poland.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Rotor Wing Structures Specialist will be responsible for maintaining aircraft to airworthy standards, inspecting and releasing maintenance work packages. The ideal candidate will have a valid Transport Canada AME "S" Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters and a minimum 3 years' structures experience.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to process complex systems, and logically think through problems. They will also be results-oriented, with a focus on quality, and efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow approved repair/modification procedures for component or aircraft
  • Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments
  • Inspect completed work to identify any needed rework before submitting for final release inspection
  • Perform serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals
  • Complete work package documentation after finishing all designated operations
Requirements
  • Valid Transport Canada AME 'S' Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters
  • Minimum 3 years' structures experience
  • Self-motivated and able to process complex systems
  • Results-oriented with a focus on quality
Working Conditions

The Rotor Wing Structures Specialist will frequently operate dangerous machinery requiring safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hard hats. They will constantly be exposed to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust, or dirt and occasionally exposed to extreme temperature or humidity.
