Heli-One, a leader in rotor wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team at our Trenton, ON location.

About the Role

This position involves carrying out the maintenance and installation of avionics and electrical systems fitted to aircraft, in accordance with applicable standards and manufacturer's guidelines. The successful candidate will ensure all work meets quality standards, while also being responsible for managing projects, performing inspections, and auditing work packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects assigned by the Avionics Manager and/or Supervisor, and liaise with other trade Supervisors/Leads to meet deadlines.
  • Perform aircraft inspections, including airframe avionics, engines, and components.
  • Audit work packages for maintenance on aircraft through to completion.
  • Perform and ensure maintenance on aircraft is to applicable standards following internal QCP/MPM Manuals.
  • Carry out modifications and installations per installation instructions and certification.
  • Monitor work performed, ensuring estimated times on work cards are met as applicable.
  • Troubleshoots faulty systems to determine a course of rectification.
  • Operate Avionics test equipment including air data test set, navigation, and communications, ATC ramp testers, and other electronic test equipment.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to process complex systems logically. The ideal candidate will have a valid Transport Canada AME 'E' Type license or Military AVN training on CH-146, along with extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, and be proficient in electronic or paper-based manuals. A minimum of 3 years of experience on Bell-type helicopters is required, with a Type endorsement on Bell 412. Results-oriented individuals who prioritize quality are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
