Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

At Payless Sand and Gravel Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance operations of our facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and train cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect facilities to ensure that they meet our safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance projects.
  • Recommend additional services required to maintain our facilities, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for cleaning and maintenance expenses.
  • Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
  • Establish work schedules for cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed on time.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliability and flexibility.
Language:

English.

Hours:

35 hours per week.
