Key Responsibilities
- Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens with accuracy and efficiency
- Enter requisitions and results in a timely manner, ensuring high-quality data management
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients, demonstrating empathy, care, and kindness in stressful situations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Contribute to meeting departmental and corporate quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and quality indicators
Requirements
- Secondary School diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
