Giant Tiger is a Canadian-owned retailer with over 60 years of success. We believe in opportunities for growth & development, teamwork, and engagement. As a Sales and Customer Service Representative, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop your skills in sales, customer service, and teamwork.

This is a part-time position, up to 24 hours weekly, with a typical schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. You will be working in a retail store environment, interacting with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have the ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will also have effective communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a high level of customer service;
  • Accurately recording customer transactions in electronic cash registers and self-checkouts;
  • Replenishing merchandise around the checkout area;
  • Maintaining planograms, labels, tickets, and signing standards;
  • Performing cycle counts as required;
  • Ensuring compliance with all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery products;
  • Ensuring health and safety policies and guidelines are followed;
  • Ensuring loss prevention best practices are followed;
  • Closing and opening store duties as needed.

Giant Tiger offers its employees a competitive salary of $18-$20 per hour, depending on location, as well as benefits such as medical/dental/vision insurance, store discounts, profit sharing, and a safety-first environment.
