- Monitor carry-on luggage and operate jet ways, canopies, and aircraft doors, ensuring a smooth and efficient boarding process.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including those in wheelchairs, unaccompanied minors, and passengers with visual or hearing impairments.
- Verify identification and direct connection passengers through the airport, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
- Assist with the stocking and maintenance of passenger lounges, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
- Provide assistance to passengers whose baggage is mishandled or damaged, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records and update passenger files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS), reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada.
- Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in the airline industry.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and handling stressful situations.
- Detail-oriented, with a proven track record of handling difficult situations and customers.
- Dependable, with a clear attendance record and reliable on-time reporting for work.
- Able to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Capable of assisting with wheelchair transfers and special service request passengers.
- Supports and adheres to all company policies.
- Ability to communicate and correspond clearly and precisely in English and French.
