Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bunge. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with maintenance staff, electrical staff, operations staff, and contractors to achieve team goals.
  • Participate in plant safety training and hazard detection to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance team's on-call rotation for repairs during off-hours.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Be punctual and flexible with work schedules, including regular hours and overtime as required.
  • Work effectively with other maintenance staff, operations staff, supervisors, management, and outside contractors.
  • Wear and utilize required personal protective equipment, including harnesses, masks, clothing, etc.
  • Work in various conditions, including heat, cold, heights, and confined spaces.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb ladders, catwalks, scaffolding, etc.
  • Be willing to learn new procedures and participate in training.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Training and/or experience in drive systems, gearboxes, belts, chains.
  • Training and/or experience in grain handling and conveying systems, bucket elevators, drag conveyors, screw conveyors.
  • Training and/or experience in welding techniques, including stick, MIG, TIG.
  • Training and/or experience in metal repair and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand written manuals, blueprints, work orders, etc.
  • Ability to create written records of work, including parts used, problems, etc.
  • Interprovincial Millwright ticket an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License required.
