We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our plant operations. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will work collaboratively with professionals to handle various maintenance tasks and contribute to the overall plant safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with maintenance staff, electrical staff, operations staff, and contractors to ensure seamless plant operations.
- Participate in plant safety training and hazard detection to enhance plant safety and compliance.
- Be part of an on-call rotation for repairs during off hours, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal plant performance.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Wear and utilize required personal protective equipment to ensure personal safety and well-being.
- Be willing to work in diverse conditions and lift heavy objects, demonstrating physical stamina and adaptability.
- Participate in training and learn new procedures as required, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience in drive systems, grain handling, welding techniques, and metal repair/fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints, and work orders, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills to record work details and maintain accurate records.
- Interprovincial Millwright ticket and Class 5 Driver's License are preferred, but not required.
