About the Role

The successful candidate will possess a strong academic background, with a record of scholarship consistent with appointment at the rank of Full Professor. They will have a deep understanding of the Faculty's diverse disciplines and a passion for advancing excellence in research, teaching, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Faculty of Science, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Develop and implement a bold vision for the Faculty's future, aligning with UBC's strategic priorities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners
  • Oversee the management of human, financial, and physical resources, ensuring the Faculty's continued growth and success
  • Advocate for the Faculty's interests and promote its research and academic excellence
