Key Responsibilities- Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal communication quality.
- Install, maintain, and repair aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
- Read blueprints to determine work requirements and plan efficient installations.
- Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to minimize downtime.
- Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to install and maintain equipment.
- Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets as needed.
- Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access for customers.
- Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems to ensure reliable communication.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in digital communication.
- Ability to climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
- Knowledge of cable signals, telephone equipment, and transmission systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Paid training program to develop your skills and knowledge.
- Ongoing education and certification opportunities.
- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
- Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.
- 30 hours per week, permanent full-time position.
- English language required for communication with colleagues and customers.
