Project Control Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project control systems to monitor project progress, track budgets, and manage timelines effectively.
  • Standardize project control procedures across all projects to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Organize training sessions for project controllers and related staff to ensure proficiency in using new systems and processes.
  • Develop a systematic approach for creating and distributing reports that provide critical insights into project status, financial health, and risk exposure.
  • Ensure that project control tools are fully integrated into the daily operations of projects.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of project control processes and systems in place, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including project managers, finance teams, and senior management, to gather feedback and ensure project control systems meet the needs of the organization.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or a Certified Cost Professional (CCP) designation or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in project controls with a high level of experience in planning, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and estimating.
  • Extensive experience working on large projects preferably in the mining sector with a sound knowledge of contract principles.
