Handwork and Visual Arts Educator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as a Handwork and Visual Arts Teacher for grades K-6. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching watercolour painting and handwork, including knitting, crocheting, and sewing.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach watercolour painting and handwork classes to students in grades K-6
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to the school's collaborative work environment
Requirements
- Experience teaching watercolour painting and handwork
- Ability to obtain Certification under the BC Teachers Regulation Branch
- Clear Criminal Record
- Love for working in a rural forest and farm setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of or enrollment in an AWSNA-approved Waldorf Grades Teacher Training program
- Current first aid certification or willingness to obtain
