About the Role

At 2K, we're seeking an experienced Art Director to lead our sports game development team. As a key member of our studio, you'll be responsible for setting the visual direction and quality bar for our games. With a passion for authentic sports experiences, you'll work closely with our game designers, artists, and engineers to create visually stunning and cohesive games.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the visual style and quality bar for our games.
  • Lead and mentor a team of artists to achieve high-quality visuals.
  • Collaborate with game designers and engineers to ensure a cohesive game vision.
  • Develop and maintain a style guide for all visual aspects of the game.
  • Champion tool development to optimize artist workflows.
  • Deliver clear and consistent visual feedback to elevate artist work.
  • Manage the art team, providing coaching and performance feedback.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of game art production experience.
  • Shipped at least two AAA titles.
  • Deep knowledge of sports, with playing experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with UI/UX specialists, interface designers, character and environment artists, technical artists, and render SEs.
  • Experience driving teams to produce art at scale, including outsourcing.
