Job Title: Technical Art Director

The Technical Art Director is a key leadership position within the Technical Art team at Electronic Arts. As a Technical Art Director, you will be responsible for directing, defining, designing, and implementing efficient, high-quality content production workflows, technologies, and visuals for our EA SPORTSTM FC Art team.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of technical art workflows, tools, and pipelines to support the creation of high-quality visual content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technical art solutions with other disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in technical art tools, technologies, and methodologies to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior and intermediate technical art staff to help them grow in their roles.
  • Identify and address technical issues that arise on the team, working with senior technical art staff to resolve complex problems.
Requirements:
  • At least 6+ years of experience in cinematic or games production, with a strong background in technical art.
  • Experience leading teams of 5+ people, with a proven track record of success in technical art leadership.
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field, such as computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with artists, engineers, and managers.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python and C#, with experience in 2D and 3D art packages like Maya and Photoshop.
  • Expert knowledge of asset optimization techniques and tools, with a willingness to jump into new challenges and solve complex problems.
