About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst to facilitate the design, implementation, and optimization of clinical informatics initiatives. This role will work collaboratively with stakeholders, technical experts, and vendors to analyze, prioritize, and translate user needs and requests related to the Clinical Information System (CIS). The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare and technology industry best practices, as well as experience in workflow and process redesign, project management, and change management.

About You
  • Post-secondary education in clinical, health science, information technology, or health informatics
  • Minimum of three years clinical informatics experience
  • Experience in workflow and process redesign
  • Project management, quality improvement, and change management skills an asset
  • Demonstrated success in supporting healthcare staff in the use of electronic clinical applications
  • Able to function well within a team setting and independently
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communications skills
  • Ability to actively demonstrate role competencies and leadership
  • Possess a valid driver's license and ability for some travel within the province
  • Certification in CPHIMS, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management an asset
Hours
  • Long assignment, Full-time position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximately 12 months (assignment length subject to change)
Compensation and Incentives

$37.61 - $47.01 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
