Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ERP and Database Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Saint John, New Brunswick. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable performance of our ERP system and providing technical support to our end-users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage our JD Edwards ERP system, including building and deploying new packages, installing ESUs, system upgrades, monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues, and supporting end-users.
  • Manage and deploy SQL Server databases across our environment, including performance monitoring, security management, backups, and data recovery.
  • Create and maintain accurate systems documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Design and implement integrations between database systems and application systems to enhance data exchange and business processes.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for ERP and SQL systems, handling escalated incidents and service requests, and guiding our Tier 2 support team.
  • Ensure business continuity of database systems in a disaster recovery scenario.
  • Participate in projects aimed at continuous improvement and contribute to the IT department's strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • Two-year technical diploma in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in server administration, database platforms, virtualization, and cloud-based technology.
  • Project management experience or certifications are considered an asset.
  • ITIL, ISC2, and Microsoft SQL certifications are also considered an asset.
