About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Director to join our team at GIW Industries, Inc. in Kamloops, BC.

Job Description

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of sales and market development within the allocated region. This includes developing regional sales strategies, managing budgets, forecasting sales, and ensuring proper coverage of existing and potential markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to grow company sales, profits, and market share within the region.
  • Budget Management: Control and ensure adherence to the region's budget.
  • Forecasting: Furnish sales market forecasts and other reports as required.
  • Market Coverage: Ensure proper coverage of existing markets and those offering growth potential within the region.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the training and development of customer service representatives, distributors, and independent reps.
  • Customer Partnerships: Expand partnership relations with customers by aiding in the development of blanket orders, stocking programs, and scrap buy-back programs.
  • Quotation Follow-up: Ensure proper follow-up of all active quotations to obtain quotation status and pursue the close of the sale.
  • Sales Calls: Make scheduled sales calls to all potential and existing customers with reps/distributors developing new and existing prospects.
  • Dealer Appointments: Identify potential areas of business and appoint dealers in the region to grow business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of capital goods sales experience, preferably in the slurry pumping industry.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of mining/utility markets, background in slurry pumps/fluids handling, and knowledge or experience of selling through representatives/distributors.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
