Salary RangeThe estimated salary for this role is between $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionThis position involves overseeing the preparation and presentation of international cuisine in a professional kitchen environment.
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and serving of food to meet quality and quantity standards.
- Determine food portion sizes and costs based on menu items and guest preferences.
- Plan menus, estimate food requirements, and manage inventory levels to minimize waste.
- Train staff members in food preparation techniques and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Supervise kitchen staff, monitor workflow, and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Clean work areas, inspect equipment, and perform maintenance tasks as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent culinary skills, including menu planning and execution.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
