Job Summary

The Clerk Typist 4 plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team at Hamilton Health Sciences. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient reception and registration services, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Manage scheduling, order entry, and statistical data to maintain accurate records and support clinical decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals through telephone and written correspondence.
  • Coordinate patient charts, requesting medical reports, slides, and films as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and documents.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Medical Terminology 1 & 2 completion (proof required).
  • Proficiency in office procedures and equipment, including fax, photocopier, label printer, and computer.
  • Experience with MOSAIQ, Clinical Connect, MS Office, and Tele Tracking.
  • Keyboarding speed of at least 45 wpm.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.
