Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investigations Officer to join our Capital Markets team. As a key contact for clients, correspondent banks, and RBCFG units, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer care through the resolution of investigations and compensation claims.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an efficient and effective cross-functional team to ensure timely resolution of investigations, loss prevention, and risk mitigation. Key responsibilities may include:

• Managing an investigation/compensation queue under prescribed guidelines, ensuring departmental goals are met
• Applying solid knowledge of Treasury/Retail Operations, its procedures, methods, and systems to effectively investigate and resolve designated items
• Ensuring established caseload benchmarks are maintained through individual and team efforts without compromising quality or effectiveness

You will also support the process of creating, updating, and maintaining desk procedures, deliver high-quality, timely, and error-free service to clients and service partners, and display a strong commitment to teamwork, open communication, and good staff morale.

To succeed in this role, you must have a University degree or College Diploma, co-op/internship experience in investigations or banking operations/trading activity roles, highly developed communication skills, leadership, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, analytical/conceptual skills, strong ability to exercise judgment and negotiation, knowledge of RBFG applications, and a strong understanding of banking and capital markets practices and activities.

This is a full-time salaried position, offering a competitive salary of approximately $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. The ideal candidate will be based in Bedford, Canada, and will work 37.5 hours per week.
