Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary care team in the Hematology/Oncology/Nephrology service. As a member of our team, you will provide holistic, comprehensive evidence-based care to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient/family care, promoting, maintaining, or restoring health, preventing illness, injury, and disability, or supporting a peaceful death.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership in nursing assessment and care planning
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients and families
- Contribute to a sustainable healthcare system through formal and informal partnerships
- Pursue excellence in care, teaching, and research through a spirit of inquiry, discovery, and innovation
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia
- 1 year Pediatric experience required
- Experience in Hematology/Oncology or Nephrology preferred
- Hematology/Oncology or Nephrology certification or enrollment in the certification process preferred
- PD dialysis and/or AHPON Chemotherapy Biotherapy Provider Status preferred
- Current successful completion of CPR Level C Health Care Provider within the last 12 months required
