At PHSA, we're committed to providing equitable and cost-effective healthcare services throughout the province. As a Mental Health Therapist for Concurrent Disorders, you'll play a vital role in our team's efforts to care for individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.

About the Role:

  • You will provide trauma-informed individualized therapeutic counseling services, including crisis intervention and stabilization, in alignment with evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate psycho-education and process-oriented group therapy, teaching containment skills, relapse prevention, and coping strategies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans by working with clients to set goals and evaluating progress.
  • Perform enrollments to programs according to established protocols, collaborating with inter-professional teams and BC Corrections staff to identify appropriate clients for interventions.

About You:

  • Master's Degree in an allied health discipline (counselling and/or social work) from an approved institution.
  • Three years of recent related clinical experience, including at least one year in a concurrent disorder or mental health program.
