About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Group Manager, Audit to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada).
Job Summary
The Senior Group Manager, Audit will lead a team of audit professionals in supervising, planning, and executing complex audits and projects for multiple business groups. This will include developing and implementing audit strategies, providing guidance and leadership to team members, and facilitating key strategic audit discussions with executives.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the Senior Group Manager, Audit will include:
- Developing and implementing audit strategies that align with the bank's overall audit strategy
- Providing guidance and leadership to team members, including providing training and development opportunities
- Facilitating key strategic audit discussions with executives to ensure that audit findings are effectively communicated and implemented
- Identifying and mitigating risk issues, and escalating non-standard issues to relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring that audit processes are integrated with overall audit strategy and implemented accordingly
- Developing the divisional annual plan for the risk assessment process
- Leading audit engagement work activities to ensure adequate risk coverage
- Providing recommendations and decision support to leadership
- Leading the team in the development and integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, and changes across multiple audit areas
- Providing people management leadership, including administering the implementation and completion of performance management activities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, accounting designations, or equivalent education
- Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses and organizational practices and disciplines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise audit recommendations and reports
- Proficiency with MSOffice, analytical tools, and internet applications
- A strong negotiator and decision maker who can influence business leaders and make rational choices
