Experienced Senior Estimator Opportunity in Edmonton

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator to join our team in Edmonton, Western Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to showcase their leadership skills and ensure all tasks are conducted with diligence and in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, technical training in engineering technology or engineering, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency in estimating software and advanced Excel knowledge are also essential. Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, are required, with proficiency in French being a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimating: Utilize a custom estimating tool (Excel-based) to perform cost estimates, analyze tender documents, and prepare bids and RFPs.
- Project Management: Conduct site visits during the bidding phase, research and assess project costs, request and follow up on quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and analyze and compare received quotes.
- Scheduling: Prepare preliminary work schedules and periodically assist project managers and directors with estimating additional work and other related tasks.
