We have approximately $1.5 billion of assets under administration spanning various aspects of the energy and power sectors, including low carbon energy solutions, energy and power production, infrastructure, services, and technology.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the evaluation of future investment opportunities and working closely with our current portfolio companies on financial integration initiatives, growth initiatives, and corporate strategy. Key responsibilities include conducting research and analysis into various investment opportunities, providing analytical support and problem-solving for existing portfolio companies, screening and prioritizing deal flow, preparing financial models and presentations, and supporting the investment and operational team in various ways.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have a 3rd or 4th year university degree relevant to private capital markets or the energy transition (business, engineering, law, STEM, etc.). You should also have an interest in private equity, growth equity, and investing, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, excellent written and verbal communication skills, basic accounting knowledge, resourcefulness, diligence, and high agency, strong team orientation balanced with the ability to work autonomously, high motivation, quality of work, attention to detail, integrity, and personal accountability.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a rare opportunity to gain experience in private markets and the energy transition with a rapidly growing and unique private equity firm in Calgary. We offer a competitive salary of approximately $$85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, as well as other benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
