Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of medications and narcotics.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment for residents, promoting their dignity, autonomy, and independence.
- Optimize resident potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
- Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting changes in resident status and taking appropriate action.
- Foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care and effective team functioning.
- Liaise with medical team members to ensure effective clinical care.
- Continuously assess and improve nursing practice and learning needs.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
- Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification.
- Current First Aid with CPR.
- Vulnerable Sector Check (for Ontario applicants) or Criminal Records Check (for British Columbia applicants).
- Long Term Care Experience.
We offer a competitive wage leveling rate of pay $41.35 per hour, with opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
