The Medical Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in our interdisciplinary team, providing medical care, recovery therapies, and everyday support to clients in Detox and addictions residential treatment. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to ensure seamless coordination of care.

Salary: $64,000 - $80,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care and interventions, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration for patients during medically supervised detox process.
  • Gather medical, mental health, and substance use history from patients.
  • Document nursing assessments, care, behaviors, and progress in KIPU electronic medical record system.
  • Communicate with physicians regarding medical concerns, medication orders, and patient progress.
  • Administer medications in accordance with organizational and pharmaceutical policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Valid and current LPN License with the College of Nurses of British Columbia.
  • Trauma-informed training or experience an asset.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Level C.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License in good standing.
