Banquet Server Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Banquet Server to join our team at The Westin Nova Scotian. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests at banquet functions, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the banquet room according to the Banquet Event Order, setting tables and maintaining buffets to the highest standards.
  • Serve guests with a smile, following rules of etiquette and property standards, and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Deliver exceptional service, including serving wine, brewing and serving coffee and tea, and clearing tables of dirty dishes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient service, and maintain a clean and organized banquet room.
  • Attend all training sessions and meetings, and liaise with the supervisor regarding special requests and complaints.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of banquet protocol and various services helpful.
  • Vaid ServSafe Certificate required.
