Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Therapy Assistant, working closely with audiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, recreation therapists, and speech-language pathologists. You will contribute to effective and efficient rehabilitation services, providing direct and indirect client care across the healthcare continuum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of an interprofessional team to provide rehabilitation services to patients of all ages.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Provide direct and indirect client care, including support with daily living activities and rehabilitation exercises.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training.
  • PTA, OTA, or combined PTA/OTA diploma required.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office and experience with electronic charting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
