Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at South Valley Residence in Valleyview, Alberta.
Job Summary:As a Health Care Aide, you will provide resident-focused care in a home-like environment, respecting the individual and dignity of each resident/family and co-workers. You will participate in all aspects of personal resident care to ensure the physical, psychological, and social needs of the resident/family are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide resident-focused care, respecting individual dignity and autonomy.
- Participate in personal resident care, ensuring physical, psychological, and social needs are met.
- Establish communication and working relationships with residents/families and co-workers.
- Deliver effective and efficient care under supervisor direction, promoting resident choice and acknowledging strengths, limitations, and safety needs.
- Assist with serving meals, feeding, and providing nourishment supplements.
- Respond to resident needs regarding call bells, telephone ringing, and assisting employees in need.
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene activities.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement.
- Create a facility environment protecting confidentiality of residents, staff, and community activities.

- Health Care Aide certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- CPR/BCLS for healthcare provider required.

- Ability to problem solve through critical thinking.
- Enthusiastic attitude and energy to provide excellent care and service.
