Job Summary

The After-Hours Safety Liaison is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of program participants at the Supportive Family Housing Program site. This part-time position requires the ability to work independently and respond to suspicious activity on the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the site between 9 pm – 5 am and respond to any suspicious activity.
  • Communicate effectively with program participants and involve first responders when necessary.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Supportive Family Housing Program Team Lead and Family Support Workers.
  • Participate in working groups, meetings, and information sessions internally or with external groups.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of front-line experience working with people in a service-oriented workplace.
  • Some prior experience ensuring safety and security from a non-violent perspective.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation training and experience.
  • Experience working with indigenous people, organizations, and communities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in schedule and respond to unexpected emergencies.
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities and manage workflow.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
