**The Position**
- Provide day-to-day support to the Supportive Family Housing Program Team Lead and Family Support Workers through regular updates and feedback on ways to improve safety on the site.
- Participation in working groups, meetings, and information sessions internally or with external groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, communicate effectively and sensitively with clients from diverse backgrounds, including conflict resolution.
- Maintain flexibility in schedule and respond to unexpected emergencies and changes in workload to fulfill responsibilities.
- Attend and participate in scheduled staff and client care meetings as requested.
- Provide help/guidance to on-site program participants through safety support.
- Communicate successfully and positively with people who may have multiple barriers, including physical disabilities, mental illness, addiction, and language barriers.
- Maintain and present a positive and professional image at all times.
- Balance conflicting priorities to manage workflow, ensure the completion of essential projects and meet critical deadlines.
- Must be able to manage a client caseload and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Perform all other tasks within the scope of the position.

**Qualifications, Skills and Abilities**:

- Three (3) years of front-line experience working with people in a service-oriented workplace.
- Some prior experience ensuring safety and security from a non-violent perspective.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation training and experience.
- Experience working with indigenous people, organizations and communities.
- Knowledge and experience working in/with the shíshálh community is preferred.
- Proficient in using technology and other tools required to work remotely.
- Valid driver's license, a current vehicle insurance certificate, and access to reliable transportation.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical skills, sound judgement and decision-making skills are required to assess situations and determine the best possible outcomes.
- Proficient in using MS Office programs with advanced knowledge of Excel and strong database skills.
- Knowledge of shíshálh culture and community members is an asset.
- Willingness to attend any training assigned to you.
