Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at IPEX, a leading manufacturer of advanced plastic piping systems. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will play a critical role in transforming our products and contributing to our mission of connecting people with essential resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Ensure accurate temperature control for splicing operations

Prepare rubber strips for splicing, including dipping, sanding, heating, and cleaning

Verify strip quality and straightness before splicing

Load tape rolls and gaskets into machines and inspect for quality

Perform splicing operations, including inserting tape and closing molds

Remove gaskets and inspect for defects

Inject silicone into gaskets and break seal using pneumatic anvil

Pack finished gaskets and verify quantity

Document and record all required information

Collaborate with Shift Supervisor, Lead Hand, and Inspector to meet production requirements

Working Conditions:

Work in a plant environment with varying degrees of physical labor, including lifting, standing, and walking

Exposure to heat and use of light press equipment

Adhere to workplace Health & Safety rules and regulations

Requirements:

Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills

Safety-conscious and able to work in a fast-paced environment

High school diploma preferred

Basic English language skills

Ability to use measuring tools related to gasket manufacturing

Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $ + shift premium of 5% of the employee's regular rate for each hour worked on this shift

Shift Premium: 5% of the employee's regular rate for each hour worked on this shift
