About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Stewardship Compliance Specialist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company meets or exceeds provincial regulatory requirements related to packaging and products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough reviews of new product listings to determine applicable deposit and fee structures.
  2. Ensure product labels comply with recycling program eligibility criteria.
  3. Collaborate with product suppliers to clarify eligibility criteria and provide guidance on compliance.
  4. Utilize job aids and daily reports to accurately determine deposit and fee amounts for collection and payment to Producer Responsibility Organizations.
  5. Address inquiries from stores regarding product eligibility or deposit/fee setup.
  6. Respond to customer questions about charges reflected on their receipts.
  7. Engage with Producer Responsibility Organizations to update deposit and fee information as needed.
  8. Manage program changes for both Loblaw and Shoppers.
  9. Manage registration of beverage containers in provinces.
Requirements
  1. A post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as environmental science or business.
  2. Experience working in an SAP environment is highly valued.
  3. A professional background that demonstrates the ability to navigate regulatory requirements in any field.
  4. Effective communication and strong technical and analytical skills.
  5. Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft applications.
  6. Ability to work well and independently within a team environment.
