Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Maintenance and Organization: Operate machinery, organize and maintain inventory, wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, remove kitchen garbage and trash, handle and store cleaning products, clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Receiving and Storage: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, reliable, team player.
Requirements
